Rede Virtual de Forrageiras Tropicais entra em ação
Ano 7 – nº 1113
Um espaço virtual destinado à disseminação de informações troca de conhecimentos e interações sobre as forrageiras tropicais lançadas pela Embrapa Gado de Corte, Unidade da Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária – Embrapa, esse é objetivo principal da Rede Virtual de Forrageiras Tropicais, recém-inaugurada pela Empresa.

A Rede está estruturada na plataforma Moodle (Modular Object Oriented Distance Learning), um sistema de gerenciamento para criação de cursos on-line. Esses sistemas são também chamados de Ambientes Virtuais de Aprendizagem (AVA) ou de Learning Management System (LMS), que comportam uma espécie de arquitetura colaborativa do conhecimento, onde, a partir de diversas ferramentas, cada usuário pode construir e multiplicar suas informações quase sem limites.
Tal projeto é possível, pois aliada à plataforma AVA, a Rede traz como princípio duas ideias que a orientam: a teoria construtivista que parte da ideia de que o desenvolvimento da inteligência está ligado à interação entre indivíduos e meio. E a noção de inteligência coletiva, cunhada por Pierri Lévy, que justifica a interconexão de indivíduos em comunidades virtuais como um novo momento na criação de conhecimento.
A partir dos dois pilares, a Rede procura possibilitar a troca de informação com a disponibilização de um fórum para a inserção de experiências, que acabe se tornando referência em informações da web para cada forrageira. “O grande mote é a interatividade. Por meio dela os participantes terão acesso a “chats” específicos com técnicos da Embrapa podendo assim conversar e aprender com os pesquisadores num ambiente de aprendizagem interativo e dinâmico”, destaca um dos idealizadores do projeto, Luiz Leal, analista de marketing/comunicação estratégica da Empresa, com mestrado em Ciência da Informação.
O projeto busca aproximar cada vez mais instituições de pesquisa, como a Embrapa, do público em geral. É uma forma inovadora de transferir tecnologia levando aos produtores, empresários e estudantes a oportunidade de conhecer melhor as formas de manejo de cada forrageira e auxiliá-los de maneira mais adequada naquilo que diz respeito à eficiência da produção agropecuária.
Como a Embrapa defende o conhecimento como um bem de domínio público a rede está fundamentada em software livre e, portanto, é um instrumento aberto aos usuários sem finalidade comercial.
